Through yoga and meditation, I was able, for the first time many years ago, to calm the tambourine-wielding monkeys running wild in my mind. Yoga, to me, is far more than mere movement—it is about cultivating an intimate relationship with the body, an opportunity to shift focus from the external to the internal and truly perceive what really matters.
Body and mind are not dualistic but are constantly interconnected. Yoga offers the possibility to strengthen the bridge between them and to meet oneself on a deeper level.
Since 2019, I have been teaching Vinyasa Yoga and greatly enjoy sharing the experience of a different kind of awareness with others. Perhaps one day, the world might indeed become a little more relaxed and mindful if we first learn to approach ourselves with greater openness and balance.
