Due to injury – from my volleyball career – I attended my first yoga class in 2012. What was initially meant to avoid surgery quickly turned into a new passion. Through yoga, I not only managed to keep my body pain-free, but also found a balance for myself. I am especially fascinated that no matter how long someone practices yoga, there are always opportunities to get to know their body better.
In 2014 I completed my basic yoga teacher training (RYT 200hr) in Mexico and have been teaching Vinyasa Yoga regularly since August 2014. In 2018/2019 I completed further training in Zurich in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga (RYT 300hr). Proper body alignment and posture are very close to my heart. I am constantly working on how to best support and correct yoga participants to safely move into more advanced asanas. For these reasons, I attended a continuing education course in cYoga with Carmen and Moises Aguilar in Barcelona (RYT 200hr) in the summer of 2019.
I design my classes to be dynamic and powerful. I emphasize proper execution of movements and give individual feedback to improve posture and body awareness. We work continuously on flexibility and strength building.
